Pokemon Emerald Version

Pokemon is still alive, yes after 10 years of not evolving and capturing pokemons I reminisce my youth. I miss the adventure I had before, aiming to become the best pokemon trainer in the poke world!

So what is Emerald version? The setting of the game shows that after how many decades, I guess, a lot of new pokemon exists and some of the old ones became extinct. So expect new set of legendary pokemon, a new map, villains and new HMs.
This is the new map, the region is called Hoenn and it's composed of 16 towns with 8 of it has it's own battle gym.

The game also has this new tag-up team wherein you could fight two individual trainers at the same time.
It also has a new feature which is the contest, wherein you're pokemon will  have this certain identity, either cuteness, smartness, toughness, coolness and beauty. A judge will rate your pokemon including audience impact. ahhaahah, so in order to win, your pokemon should enter the contest wherein he/she has strong points and also giving him/her a poke block will help to make them better in that trait. But don't worry this contest will be seen on the Liliycove city, the 12th city you'll gonna travel.
Another favorite new feature of mine is the HM dive, yes the new Hoenn region has some secrets underwater, it also helps you to travel without those annoying wild pokemons meddling your way.

Of course every version has its own legendary pokemons, so here are the three legends here in Emerald ver. Rayquaza (green), Groudon (red) and Kyogre (blue).

I've researched when this game's been released, and it already exist for 7 years, I'm so lame. hahahaah, any way the game was not bad, I would recommend this for simple adventure lovers. :))

Summer Updates!

So what's up with me? It's been so looooooooooong since I created my last post. There are so many exciting and unexpected things that had happened to me. Tehee, so how should I start?

  • Mom went to province and left me home alone for more than a week, I invited my friends to stay with me overnight, except for the days I have class. So for the first day my UP friends (Camille and Claire) stayed for a night.
Me, Claire and Camille with Utoy on the second frame
For the second night, my UST friends (Sar and Ag) joined me. Those two nights were spent with non-stop stories, fortune telling, criticism, etc. It was fun to invite them over. :)

The next nights I stay alone, it was creepy yet exciting. I love the feeling that I can do anything (Oooooohw) without my mom's annoying shout, lol joke, but I still missed mama's irritating errands at those lonely times, haahha.
  • I also had taken my last Math series subject, and finally Math and Physics "majors" are over! Woo! I love it! Along with my summer class I did my 160 hours internship for TAO and yesterday was our culminating activity aka graduation. I'll miss it, if only I'll just stop studying and proceed to apprenticeship. Maybe those working buds won't agree with me, but I love to work, I really leaned a lot in office than in school. XD
Some of my work in TAO, model and Cad drawings
With my co-YP, Jessa at Navotas while having our site supervision
  • After so many years I dipped in the pool with my YP peeps (Sarah, Tina, Mhar, Russel, Cris and Glenn), ah! The water was really my element though I'm not a good swimmer but it made me so refreshed this hot season.
Mhar, Tina, me and Sarah (c) Cris
  • And of course will I forget the biggest event for my summer, second to my internship, is the epitome-of-a-total-performer's concert, Lady Gaga's monster ball! She was really the mother of all monsters!
(c) Hezel
With my super twin, Hezel, the root why I was able to go to the monster ball
  • SMALL GALAs: CR gals (Abby and RI) visited me at home, those week while mom's gone, I didn't see them for a year and unfortunately Kim wasn't able to come, I really miss them all, I can still feel our strong bond every time we are together, I hope we 5 could meet soon, including Kat whose in states. hehe
Also after a long time Van and I were able to see each other, it was fun to catch up with one's "love" lives, while eating a delicious dinner with Sar. We even discovered a newly exciting game FOR US LATE BLOOMERS, the ultimate dance dance revo, we're planning to make it as a career. :))

Yesterday with some of my YP friends, we went to a Karaoke house and sing our hearts out. :))
  • MOVIES: I also watched the avengers with my future in-laws ^_^ and Dark Shadows with Hans. At home I also discovered that I have "Ballet shoes" with one of the main actress is my fave British celeb, Emma Watson.
  • BOOKS: Still not done with reading Frank Lloyd Wright's bio since I've been hooked with the strangeness of Emily the Strange.
  • GAMES: At the first weeks of summer I'm addicted with GTA: Vice City but then I've been introduced again by my fave GameBoy game, Pokemon, now with the new set of monsters, ah! I can feel how old I'm now.
  • SERIES: I finished Secret Circle, sorry for the fans, but yeah it's *yawn......and skins, I liked it, sex and drugs are part of a teen's life, I can't believe I'm watching the reality. Of course second season of Game of Thrones are now airing, geez, can't wait for every ep. now that hotness Natalie Domer's their.
And now blogging till dusk is back, though my net connection is not really everyday, we're having a budget cut, eek! That's also the reason why I miss the supposedly 3rd event of my summer, this year's Philippines Fashion week, call me mababaw but it was really what I'm aiming for, Unica Hija sent me their invitation, I don't know if it was really exclusive, but as an assuming being, I believe it. ahahah, too bad I'm born with a tin spoon in my mouth. :O

I'm looking forward to:
  1. TFA induction
  2. new school year
  3. more happenings :))

Export scaled drawings from cad to photoshop

Before, I'm always having a hard time to export my scaled drawings from cad to photoshop, as our professors always demand a scaled drawing from cad and disregards sketchup though there's an easy way in lay-outing with the latter, so I searched for a way to export my cad drawings to ps.

But it's good to know that exporting cad to photoshop is a non-hassle if you have the "postscript" plotter.

So what is this so called postscript?

It is in .pc3 format and there are also other plotters that have the same format but this postscript will directly export your file to PS without affecting the scale, lineweight and resolution of your cad drawings.

How will I install this plotter?

All Autocad already have a Postscript plotter when installed but it was not automatically created, just follow the steps if you have advance AutoCad, or for my case AutoCad 2010. I have learned this process in cadtutor but I guess it was not updated so I figured the first steps myself, here it is:

In autocad just click the Output tab then the small arrow under the Plot section.
The options menu will pop out, just go to plot and publish then click Add or Configure Plotters...
This window will be opened and just double-click the Add-A-Plotter wizard.
Just follow the steps in Add a Plotter. It will just be simple as 1-2-3. :))

Lost Vector

Hans, my forever subject, still undone, I should be in the blank space, but I'm so idle and I still need to study for Physics
It seems that I'm not that much doing art related stuffs lately and I found myself staring blankly, questions popping in my head "What am I doing here?" while in my Estimates class.

Archi for higher years became complex that sometimes, I thought why did I took this course? Is my passion fading of, or is it because of my environment?

Environment, in a sense not in school but because of my longing to be like the multimedia, art or fashion students whose blogs were full of pretty things that engaged my eyes.

Im longing for something artsy, and I compared my recent arts to those, it was a shame to even tried. So in my own reflection and thoughts, everyday, every minute, I ask myself, where had my passion gone to? What should I do?

The battle between myself will long til I dont know. So to soothe my self with this mess that my stupid mind generates, I drew Hans and tried this vector thing that has been everywhere.

I dont even know if this is enough to be called a vector art.

"Architecture please be good to me." -not just 2012, I'm afraid of what might become of me.

How will I start?

Its been a long time since my last post. I had a long list of things that I need or feel to put here. Where should I start, mmm, I think Ill go first with the recent things that happened to me.

Ok,while making this blog post I discovered the new "timeline" in FB, wow! I must say I'm impressed though I'm not that amaze how they confuse people more. But this new format makes FB look like your personal blog site.

I also discovered this cool game called coma from http://www.friv.com/index18.html while waiting for tetris battle. I been addicted to FB games, together with Coco girl and Triviador. Oh well because its Christmas Vacation. But Im still controlling not to, still got a lot of sensible things to do. :)
Try coma, coz it has good graphics but it's ideal for a short game
Christmas is fast approaching, Im gonna spend it with my mom, two dogs and 7 cats. :D

My list of tasks for this Christmas vacation:
  • fix and organize my closet
  • paint stuffs
  • do school works
  • clean Hans' room
  • read books
  • dvd marathon!!! :)

Why Bamboo | Green School

I found a site while googling for more info about bamboo, I find it amusing to see a school too dedicated with cheap sustainability. Hope all of the structures being built in our time will adopt this kind of philosophy. I'm also into bamboo because it's not just cheap or easy to find it is also famous of the strength it have. Plus the fact that it can help to conserve our natural resources because it can be already used after planting it in 4-5 years.
This is what the site says in one of their section:
Why is everything made out of bamboo?Green School chose bamboo in the spirit of plenty. With rapidly escalating world cement prices, not to mention the sheer amount of fossil fuel that cement consumes, we must look to alternative building materials. Frankly, it is hard to talk to students about sustainability while they are using the last piece of rain forest for their chair and their table. It is the painful truth that they are going to have to stretch to get enough rain forest timber to build their homes.Bamboo is available and plenty, and when it is treated with borax salt, it is rendered immune to the bugs that like to eat it, so it becomes a permanent material. Every student at Green School will have an opportunity to plant his or her own bamboo and, eventually, four to five years down the line, will have a chance to harvest, treat and build something with that bamboo. If you need a lot of timber in the future, don’t look for wood, look for bamboo. It fixes a huge amount of carbon in the soil and this is a good solution in the world of ever escalating problems. It is a rapid solution to some of the problems that are facing us. Plant bamboo.

Smart to Sun

It's been a while since my last post, got too busy with some school works plus my smartbro's been repaired for almost 2 months yet nothing happened though they say they've "replaced" my unit, the heck, so now I bought a new broadband, sun which is plan 799. I already planned to have this one since June, and now my lost of Smartbro push me to buy one.

New sun! New bestfriend, hope you'll cooperate
So far, as its first night with me and here in my room in Cavite (as compared to Smartbro which can't be used here), though not that fast but it's finer than I've thought. It can load even if I open a lot of tabs at the same time. Mmm, I wonder if it'll gonna be faster tomorrow in QC.

(I'll update tom what will happen) But for now (while waiting for my potion to brew in Pottermore) I'll post my adventures and misadventures. :)

More more for Pottermore

I'm so tensed when Hezel (my friend I'm with in David Archuleta post) tweeted me that he was already registered in Pottermore, and ate Lani (from DA post too) texted me that it was already closed. She mean for day 3, so I was like, "Damn! What am I doing?" So I hurried to our school library to gain access from our free wifi.

And there it is, "Day 3 registration is already closed. 7 books, 7 days, 7 chances. From July31 to Aug6." So from 1pm I waited for it to open, my instinct says that maybe they had considered British time, but it's already Day 4 in London. What the heck?

I waited. waited. waited. Attend to my 5pm-7pm Design class, waited again in the lib, go to my Boarding house, borrowed my roommate's modem. waited. waited with the pottermore-waiting-tumblr people. And by 1030pm, while reblogging some Big Bang theory's in tumblr, "Day 4 registration is now open!"

I hurried to answer the clue to the Magical Quill, Google chrome didn't cooperate because of Ad blah vlah settings, but thanks to Mozilla and Internet Explorer, I was able to hunt the Quill!!

Ink drawing

I love editing pics to something that looks like an ink drawing. But sometimes it's hurtful to admit to someone that I just edited it and didn't do it actually, even if I know to myself that I could do this manually. :p

Well, that's not what this post is all about. I have a Photoshop, but I still don't try to study, discover and look for its wonders. So how was I able to do this one?

  • I first use Inkscape, it has this "trace bitmap" that helps me to achieve an ink like image.
  • Next I transfer the image to Gimp, to convert it to .jpg format or .png if I wanted its background transparent. Also to edit some more, if needed, coz Gimp is a user friendly version of Photoshop.
  • Then additional touches with the help of Photoscape and Paint! And here's the step of applying my drawing skills. :D
As simple as it is, but I also discovered that Photoscape has something like this, but it's kind of dirty and unmanageable to be able to get what you wanted it to look like.

Portrait of Hans Catalan

Hans with dark eye bags coz of too much playing of PSP/PS2
This is a portrait of my boyfriend, I just thought of posting it here coz I have a feeling that he'll stalk me later, hahaahha, I drew this when I'm annoyed that he liked my classmate's manual drawing than the computer aided drawing that I made. It was like, duh!? Really for me it was so hard to draw in a computer than do it manually, so I got pissed of that time. ><

So I really praise those great in CAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up, anything drawn technically. By the way, I only used paint in this one.

Windows 7 Home Basic theme

I'm so annoyed to find out that my newly bought laptop has this OS called Windows 7 Home Basic, that has no themes or any customization.  While I'm a type of person that is to much particular of personalizing stuffs. I thought just because my OS is in windows 7, I could do everything that I want, but as you can see, Starter and Home Basic are those boring versions. So I search so hard just to customize my PC, and here are those helpful sites that had helped me.

First I searched in Google the keyword "Windows 7 Home Basic theme" and I saw themes that they say can be used for Home Basic, but as I've downloaded and attempted to enable it, nothing happened. Then I found this simply useful tool, called Windows 7 Home Basic color changer  and your no themed PC can now change different colors that you would like, but still no glassy effect or something good in the eye. So I keep on searching for more.
Simple useful color changer
As browsing for some useful info I found this Aero thing in every forums that say it was the one responsible for enabling your PC's ability to change your theme. Search for it but I first found this Tweak thing that they say was much better than the Aero because it is ideal for inexperienced user, just like me, to enhance not just their themes but also their system's performance and I found it here: Tweak me! and here is the link for not so clear instructions that I followed: screen shots of Tweak me!

Still nothing happened, I'm getting impatient this time though motivated so I still search and download Aero Enabler and here's the instruction: Aero Enabler instruction

Along with Aero is a tool called .net framework that is needed for the Aero to work out, so I downloaded it. I thought this is just a waste of time because after Aero and Tweak still nothing happened but I found out that it will also be important later on when you download this personalizing stuff.

In my case, only the Tweak me! helped me, because I found out that my Aero was already enabled. By using Tweak me I unchecked my "Disable Transparency" that will also be important later. Due to nothing happens on my target of customization, I search again in Google, now with the keyword "windows 7 home basic without personalize theme" because I have read in some forums that Home Basic and Starter has no personalize option in the Control Panel, oh wow surprise! That's why in my many attempts of enabling Aero nothing happens.

Personalize panel
And finally, I found out that it is possible to download this missing panel, here's the full details of what I'm talking about and also instructions for Personalization. And the link where I download this Personalize Panel. Finally got what I'm looking for, so here's the fruit of my labor.

Hope I was able to help somebody whom had the same problem with their Home Basic, enjoy your new theme! :)
